This Privacy Policy explains how Convert Me Pls (the "Service") handles your files and any personal data when you use our file conversion tool.

This document is a plain-language template and not legal advice. Have a lawyer or privacy professional review it before relying on it.

1. How conversions are handled

Convert Me Pls is designed to collect as little as possible. Conversions are processed on our servers:

  • your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection;
  • it is converted and held only transiently to produce your download; and
  • both the uploaded file and the converted output are deleted automatically a short time after processing. We do not retain your files or build a library of your content.

2. Information we collect

  • Files: only transiently, as described above.
  • Basic technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and timestamps) used to operate the Service, prevent abuse and diagnose problems.
  • Account & API data: if you create API credentials, we store the information needed to authenticate your requests, enforce rate limits and provide your usage history.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies necessary to operate the Service and remember basic preferences. If we use privacy-respecting analytics, it is to understand aggregate usage, not to track individuals across the web.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the Service (such as hosting and storage), and only as necessary to operate it, or where required by law.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data. Because we do not retain your converted files, most file data is already gone shortly after your conversion completes.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
